Rennes general director Pierre Dreossi has rubbished reports that midfielder Yann M'Vila will be moving to Real Madrid this summer.
Speculation has been arife that the France international could be ready to leave the club in the present transfer window, with La Liga mooted as a possible destination.
However, Dreossi has come out to deny that contact had been made between Rennes and Real.
"Real Madrid have not called us about the availability of M'Vila," Dreossi was reported as saying by Marca. "But I do not intend to listen even if they do approach us."
With M'Vila having recently signed a one-year contract extension, Dreossi believes his coveted player is perfectly happy staying at Rennes.
"M'Vila is not leaving the club. We have agreed on a contract extension for one additional season and he stay at Rennes.
"If he moves on, it will be next year.
"He's still focused on the club and has not told us that he wants to leave."
M'Vila, who only turns 21 at the end of June, is one of the brightest prospects in French football, and has made over 70 Ligue 1 appearances for his club, along with ten caps for Les Bleus.
