Guatemala reach Gold Cup quarters

Guatemala reached the quarter-finals of the Gold Cup with a 4-0 win over Grenada in New Jersey.

Jose del Aguila put Guatemala ahead in the 16th minute and Marco Pappa made it two six minutes later.

Carlos Ruiz added a third nine minutes into the second half and Carlos Gallardo struck a fourth five minutes later to put the result beyond doubt.

The win sealed third place in Group B for Guatemala, who are guaranteed to be one of the two best third-placed teams.

Jamaica claimed top spot in the group with their third win out of three, a 1-0 success over Honduras.

Ryan Johnson scored the goal in the 36 minute.

Honduras went through in second, level on four points with Guatemala.
