Gervinho played for Ivory Coast at last summer's World Cup in South Africa Lille are planning to hold talks with Arsenal over the proposed sale of their Ivory Coast striker Gervinho.
The 24-year-old scored 15 goals to help Lille win the French league and Cup double last season.
Speaking on French radio station RMC, Lille general manager Frederic Paquet said: "He wants to go and has developed contacts with Arsenal.
"He has expressed a desire to go to England. We will soon have talks with them and see what they offer."
Paris St Germain have also enquired about Gervinho but Paquet does not want to "strengthen a competitor" by selling to a domestic rival.
And Paquet went on to describe 20-year-old Belgian winger Eden Hazard, who is also thought to be an Arsenal target, as "untransferable".
